Brattleboro Central Dispatch


In 1997 the Town of Brattleboro combined the dispatching of the fire, police, and public works departments, along with Rescue Inc., into one central dispatch center located at the police station.

In the course of a year, Brattleboro Central Dispatch answers approximately 175,375 telephone calls. In 1999, 3,210 of those were 911 calls, excluding any cell phone calls received.

Police, fire, and public works are dispatched through the center primarily for within the Town of Brattleboro, while Resuce Inc. covers Brattleboro in addition to eight other towns, two of which are in the State of New Hampshire.
